Privacy
What Journey stores
- Your account: the identifier Apple gives Journey when you sign in, your name and your email address (which may be an Apple private relay address).
- What you add to trips: titles, dates, schedules, tasks, checklists, notes, photos and cover images.
- Live trackers you create: each check-in's coordinates, time, optional note and photos, and a place name looked up from the coordinates.
- Invitations you send: the invited email address, kept until the invitation is answered or expires.
Who can see it
- Trips are visible only to the people on them.
- A tracker's share link shows its map and check-ins to anyone who has the link. Share it only with people you want to follow along, and delete the tracker to make it stop working.
- Calendar subscription links show a trip's schedule to anyone who has the link. You can replace the links at any time.
Photos
Location data embedded in uploaded photos is removed before they are stored.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account in the app. Trips you own that have other members are handed to another member; the rest, with their photos and trackers, are deleted. Deleting your account also revokes the Sign in with Apple connection.
Sharing
Journey does not sell your data or show advertising. Place names are looked up with a mapping provider, and invitation emails are sent through an email provider, using only what those services need.
